Christian F. Jan?en is the vice president of CFD Solutions at Altair Engineering. He holds a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Computational Sciences in Engineering (CSE) from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, where he received his Ph.D. in 2010. After postdoctoral work at the University of Rhode Island (URI) and Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), he joined Altair Engineering, where he is currently responsible for the company's flagship CFD products. His research interests include scale-resolving simulations, wall-modeled LES, fluid-structure interaction, near-real-time simulation, simulation-based design, innovative approaches to high-performance computing, and STEM teaching.
