Sai Nelaturi is the director of software R&D at Carbon. He leads the team developing Design Engine, Carbon’s flagship design for additive manufacturing platform. Sai received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in algorithms for model based manufacturing. Prior to his role at Carbon, he was the research director for Digital Design and Manufacturing at Xerox PARC, and was a principal investigator on several DARPA-funded projects. He was also on the executive committee of the Solid Modeling Association, and served twice as the program chair for the International Solid and Physical Modeling conference. Sai’s background is in geometric and topological computing, automated design, digital manufacturing, and additive manufacturing.
