Michael Poli

Michael is a founding scientist at Liquid AI and a computer science Ph.D. student at Stanford, working at the intersection of AI, systems, and numerics. His contributions include beyond-transformer architectures—such as Hyena—and their application to genomics with HyenaDNA and Evo. He has pioneered the design and analysis of hybrid AI architectures, creating the first multi-hybrid models (StripedHyena 2) at the core of Evo 2.
