David W. Romero is a research scientist at NVIDIA with the Deep Imagination Research team. He received his Ph.D. in efficient deep learning with cum laude recognition —the highest distinction in the Netherlands— from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research interests include all aspects of deep learning efficiency, with a particular emphasis on efficient long context. In 2021, he received the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship for his work on long convolutional models.
