Getting Started with RTX Video SDK
RTX Video SDK uses Tensor Cores on GeForce RTX GPUs to AI enhance video in real time. Currently, the RTX Video SDK supports the following effects
- Super resolution
- Artifact reduction
- SDR to HDR tonemapping
Benefits
Super resolution upscaling
Edges and texture details are refined and enhanced to produce sharper video frames at higher resolutions than the source content. 1080p video can now show details with 4K precision. Finer patterns and textures lost due to low bit rate compression are reconstructed.
Artifact reduction
Trained models are designed to detect color banding and blocky artifacts, restoring smoother color gradients and producing cleaner frames.
HDR tone mapping
Rec.709 SDR video is expanded into HDR10 compatible Rec. 2020 color, producing vibrant colors, deeper darks, and improving the overall sharpness of processed video frames.
